Open for Play As scheduled, Dogwood Trace Golf Course is now open for play . The City of Petersburg's municipal golf course has undergone a complete renovation, which began just this past Spring. Acclaimed golf architect Thomas E. Clark designed this amazing transformation. This par-72 championship course has 4 sets of tees ranging from 4,874 yards to 6,707 yards. The course also includes a driving range and short game area. There will also be a small clubhouse offering food and beverage service and a tent pavilion for outings, tournaments and other non-golf social events.
